Our Christian Vision
Scripture: 'I can do everything through Him who gives me strength' (Philippians 4:13)
At Richard Crosse, we believe that Christian principles are at the heart of everything we do as a school. We enable our children to grow up in a school underpinned by love, respect and friendship. These values are the core for all we do at Richard Crosse and empower our children to thrive. The scriptures of Philippians provide the basis for our motto and why we believe our children gain strength and can flourish under the teachings of the Christian faith.
Our Values
Love - Respect - Friendship
Under our overarching motto of ‘Believe and Achieve’ our values are shaped through the Christian values of Love, Respect and Friendship. We aim to provide an environment which develops the children’s spiritual understanding and ‘moral compass’. Alongside these core values we ready our children for life through key learning tools such as resilience, communication, empathy and teamwork. By using these tools and values, we strive for our children to become life-long learners, fostering a sense of curiosity, excitement and passion for everything they experience and do.
Our Motto
Our school motto here at Richard Crosse and across our MAT is ‘Believe and Achieve’. This encourages our children to not only believe in themselves but also to understand and be respectful of Christian beliefs in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Through this faith in themselves and God, we believe all of our children can fulfil their potential.
Our Mission
In an ever-changing and demanding world our mission is to allow our children to identify all the different types of ‘strength’ they have within them. Strength, which is identified by and supported by the teachings of our core values, to enable all to flourish and fulfil their individual potential. We believe our job is to facilitate this through our key Christian values and our curriculum intent. Helping children to understand the importance of being good citizens and adults of the future and stewards of the Earth. Our mission is to embed these qualities in our curriculum and the day-to-day experiences we give our children. We prepare children for life by developing their individual character. We teach them to be respectful, inclusive, courageous, and aspirational, and to forgive others. We value their mental and spiritual health, fostering a sense of community, hope, and aspiration, and encouraging them to grow in the image of God.
