Class 5 - Summer 1 - Week 1

We are all glad to be back in school after a brilliant Easter break (eating too much chocolate). This week has flown by and we have been really enjoying our learning.

In English, we have begun our topic of Macbeth. This week, we have been studying the three witches poem and writing our own in the same style. We even had chance to perform them.

In maths, we have continued with the topic of Ratio and proportion. We have been applying our knowledge in problem solving situations such as increasing and decreasing ingredients in a recipe.

In PE, we have been playing games related to cricket - we have some very talented cricket players in Class 5.

Our geography lesson this week was looking at where our food comes from. We know that much of the food we eat is grown in the UK but we researched the amount of food that the UK also imports.

In DT, we have been looking at the recipe for cottage pie; we created our own recipes and some of us are going to cook it at home.
