Image of Spring Term 1 - Week 7

We have had a fantastic last week of term. In Maths, Year 3 have finished the topic statistics and have moved onto learning about length and perimeter. We enjoyed finding objects around the room which were smaller than 10cm and larger than 1 metre. Year 4 have been learning how to add and subtract fractions. In English this week, we worked together as a whole class to create ‘Class 3’s book of riddles’. Some of them are really quite tricky! We have put this fantastic book in our reading garden. In DT, we investigated 2 British inventions – the World Wide Web and reinforced concrete. To help us understand how reinforced concrete works, we tested different ways of moulding Modroc. For example, we tested single layered, multiple layered, rolled and reinforced Modroc against the weight of 100g to see which held the weight best. On Thursday, we had a blast because it was Funky Fashion day and the PTA’s big breakfast. Have a lovely half term break Class 3, relax and remember to learn your lines for our Easter production.
