Spring Term 2 Week 1

What a great start to the first week back after the holidays! We celebrated World Book Day and Pancake day on Monday with lots of exciting activities. Our favourite was getting to walk around the village to try and spot all of the books that people had put in their windows. We got so carried away, that we were out longer than we intended to be! We then had a competition to see who could flip the pancake the most times in 30 seconds. We had lots of laughs at this and the pancake ended up on the floor lots of times! After that, we got to create our own pancake toppings and then eat our pancakes. We really enjoyed that part of the day too. All of our work for the day was based around the story of 'Mr Wolf's Pancakes'. We are going to use the work that we have created to make a display in our book corner. It was time to start our Design and Technology topic this week too. We have been looking at playground equipment, what it is made from and how it is put together. Things we have never thought about before. We have also started to learn about The Great Fire of London and will be doing lots of work about it in our History and English lessons. A super busy but fun first week back!
