This week we have been busy preparing for our Mothers’ Day service. I have been really impressed with how well the children have sat in the hall and joined in so enthusiastically with the singing.
In English we read about ‘Tad’ and how he grew into a frog. He made a giant leap of faith to escape Blub the large hungry fish.
We have spoken about being brave and how sometimes we just need to have a go.
Some of the children who were too worried about getting their words wrong have made a giant leap this week and have made me very proud. They have wrote rhyming sentences using prepositions.
In math we have looked at 3D shapes and spoken about their properties. The children have enjoyed exploring and building with these shapes.
The class 1 team wish you a lovely weekend and a happy Mother’s’ Day!
