Autumn Term 2 - Week 1

Welcome back Class 3. In Maths, Year 4 have been learning about area. They have been exploring what area is and how to find the area of a rectilinear shape whilst Year 3 have been learning how to add 2 numbers with an exchange using the column method. They have worked so hard! In English, we have started our new topic book called ‘Gulliver’s Travels’. We have explored how to use fronted adverbials and noun phrases to enhance our writing. In Science, we have investigated the properties of solids, liquids and gases by taking part in a range of practical activities. To explore the properties of liquids, we raced water, oil, tomato ketchup and honey down a baking tray to see which liquid would reach the bottom first. Well done Class 3 for a great first week back.
