Summer Term 1 - Week 2

This week, in Class 3, we have written explanation texts about a river’s journey. We worked really hard to present our work clearly using paragraphs. Our focus was to start our sentences in a range of different ways by using fronted adverbials and subordinate clauses. In Maths, Year 4 have been comparing and ordering decimals whilst Year 3 have been finding fractions of a set amount of objects. To help, we used base ten equipment to share the number into equal groups. In Science, we have started learning about rocks. We compared and grouped rocks in terms of their size, shape, colour and feel. To help understand this learning, we compared rocks with chocolate, it made us rather hungry! Well done Class 3 for another great week of learning.
