Class 1 summer term week 4
This week we have read Superworm! We have talked about times when we have been Super hero’s.
The children have wrote sentences about their experiences at the weekend. In music, the children listened to the Coronation march and marched around the room listening and reacting to changes in tempo.
The children have planted some butterfly attracting plants as well as some tomato plants. The children are going to plant some vegetables next week in our vegetable patch. Please peep through the gate to see our pretty plants.
In RE, the children looked at stained glass windows and then had a go at making these themselves using card and tissue paper.
Our caterpillars have grown considerably and look like they may form cocoons very soon.
The pre-school children have been making worms out of play dough and investigating length.
Fingers crossed we get some better weather soon! We would like to thank Mr and Mrs Windsor for donating the fantastic toadstool seats for our garden.
Should the weather improve please remember to apply sun cream to your child before they come to school and to bring in a sun hat. Should the weather improve we will be spending more time outside.
Thank you for snack money and have a lovely weekend.
