This week has been especially brilliant because we had Sports Day on Thursday. We took part in a range of activities in the morning such as javelin, shot put, standing long jump, bean bag throwing and long distance running. In the afternoon, we were joined by parents to watch us run our races. The sun came out to say hello and it was lovely to see the children showing determination and great sportsmanship.
In English, we have moved onto our narrative topic focusing on the classic tale of Narnia – The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. We have read chapter 1 in detail and retrieved information from the text to visualise what Mr Tumnus looks like. In Maths, Year 4 have been plotting and drawing line graphs whilst Year 3 have been recognising and describing 2D and 3D shapes. We even used tooth picks and Blu Tac to construct 3D shapes such as cubes, pyramids and prisms. In RE, we learnt about where Hindus pilgrimage and created PowerPoint presentations to demonstrate our knowledge. Overall, a fantastic week!
