Autumn Term 1 - Week 6

This week has been allowed Class 4 to delve deeper into this terms topic of evolution and inheritance. Our English lessons have focused upon an adaptation of Charles Darwin’s ‘On the Origin of Species’. After researching his life, we created diary entries to replicate those he wrote on his famous expeditions. In Science, we read an evolution story named ‘The Molliebirds’ to further enhance our understanding of adaptation and natural selection. Our PSHE lessons helped us understand the health and social risks relating to the use and misuse of legal and illegal drugs. With an incredible amount of detail, we finished our orienteering maps from last week relating to the local area joined by step by step instructions. There’s plenty more to look forward to next week as we reach the final stages of many of our exciting topics.
