This week, in Class 3, we have explored the features of a non-chronological report. We have practised writing sentences with apostrophes, fronted adverbials and subordinate clauses. In Maths, Year 4 have been finding equivalent lengths in km and m as well as finding the perimeter of rectangles on a grid. Year 3 have been dividing 2 digit and 1-digit numbers. We used part whole models and partitioning to help us break up the number. In some cases, there were remainders so we used lollypop sticks to build the groups and see the remainders. It’s been a very scientific week in Class 3, we have experimented a lot with electricity. We tested a range of materials within a simple circuit to see if they were insulators or conductors. After this, we used our learnt knowledge to make switches. Overall, a great week. Well done Class 3!
