We are well underway with our Summer Term topics and are grateful for the warm weather this week. With great progress shown, we have developed our undertanding of fractions, decimals and percentages. Moreover, we have become experts at finding fractions of amounts.

In English, we have been continuing our writing relating to Beowulf. We have written impressive character and setting descriptions by using key details from the text and a range of figurative language features.

With great enthusiasm and oracy on show, we have been learning about places in town in French. We have developed the language to be able to ask what is in town and direct people to where in town places are found.

Showing great attention to detail, we have drawn graphs in science to present dtata relating to feotus size and mass during gestation. To do this, we had to label axis, create a heading, choose an appropriate scale and plot our data. To conclude this lesson, we made some statements about general patterns observed and their possible causes.

Topic for Talk - to support our focus on oracy, below is a question linked to our learning this week to discuss with your child.

Is there more than one way to find 25% of 400 and what are they?
