What an action-packed week we have had in Class 3! In English, we stepped back in time to begin writing newspaper reports on Howard Carter’s historic discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb, honing our formal reporter voice by using fronted adverbials such as "It was reported that..." and "eyewitnesses state...". Over in Maths, we tackled subtracting across a boundary using column methods, working hard to master tricky exchanges. In  PE, we focused on developing our hand-eye coordination skills. Midweek, we gathered at the church for our Harvest service to reflect on the importance of this season; the children gave a fantastic performance of our song 'Let's Harvest' using British Sign Language (BSL) and listened attentively to a guest speaker from the local food bank. Finally, in PSHE, we engaged in thoughtful discussions about digital safety and explored proactive steps we can all take to help prevent online bullying.
