A special dedication service was held today, as the art installation made by pupils with local artist Mr Philip Evans last term, was formally unveiled.
The installation, a Christian Cross, made up of bricks made by each pupil currently at Richard Crosse, is proudly displayed outside the school's Reception area, with a commemorative plaque.
The idea of a lasting memorial, encompassing both the pupils, and the school's Christian ethos, was funded by Supporting Change Ltd, a long time supporter of the school. Well known local artist, Mr Philip Evans, worked with children to create and paint their own individual clay bricks, which have come together to form the cross.
Attending the dedication service, were Mr Philip Evans and his wife Mrs Leah Evans, Mr Alan Howard from the Parish Council, and his wife Mrs Alison Howard, Mr John Bowman, CEO of Supporting Change Ltd, Mr Paul Lovern, CEO of The Small Schools Multi Academy Trust, and Mrs Heather Bowman, Chair of the Small Schools Multi Academy Trust Board.
