Today Years 1 and 2 from Richard Crosse and The Howard took part in an enrichment day to support their Design and Technology and Art topics. In the morning, they got to make their own pizzas, which they were then able to take home to cook. This was the end lesson in a sequence of exploring different types of pizza, investigating what bread would make the best pizza base and taste testing a range of different pizza toppings. In the afternoon, the focus was on art. We have been looking at the artist Wedgewood and today the children made a pot from clay, which once it has dried, they will paint in the style that everyone is familiar with. The children have learnt a lot and had a fantastic day.
