Class 2 had an amazing time at their outdoor learning day at The Howard. They got to experience the fantastic outdoor facilities and learn important skills such as team work, resilience and perseverance. In the morning they explored the area they were going to be working in, listened to the story we’re going on a leaf hunt and then they made frames from sticks they had collected. Inside the frames, they used leaves to create different autumnal pictures. For the afternoon session, they joined with the Year 5 and 6 children from The Howard. Here the session was lead by a Forest School trained teacher so the children had a go at making potions, paint from natural resources, clay hedgehogs and den building. They finished off with hot chocolate and a story. A busy but exciting day!
