What a wonderful way to mark the end of a busy Spring Term! This week saw our entire school community come together at the beautiful All Saints Church for our annual Easter service and it was truly a special occasion filled with reflection, joy and a real sense of togetherness. We were blessed with glorious sunshine streaming through the stained-glass windows as we gathered, creating a bright and uplifting atmosphere. It was fantastic to see every single child from our school present. A huge thank you must go to our incredible Year 5 and 6 pupils who led the service with such maturity and clarity. They spoke beautifully, guiding us through the significant events of the Easter story and helping us all to remember its profound meaning. Their confidence and thoughtful delivery were truly impressive. We sang beloved hymns, including the uplifting "Give Me Oil in My Lamp", "Easter Jubilation" and the comforting "God is Watching Over Us" where we were also treated to a truly stunning solo performance from a very talented member of Year 5 – a moment that brought a hush of admiration across the church. We are so lucky to have such gifted musicians amongst our students! Of course, none of our singing would have been possible without the wonderful Mrs. Parks, whose skillful piano playing accompanied our hymns perfectly. The creativity and sheer joy of our younger pupils were on full display during the Class 1 Easter Bonnet Parade! The church was awash with colour and imaginative designs, showcasing the hard work and artistic flair of our youngest members. It was a delight to see their proud smiles as they paraded their wonderful creations. A particularly moving part of the service was the powerful performance by our Open the Book team. They brought the scene of the Last Supper to life with sensitivity and understanding, helping us to reflect on the significance of Good Friday and the events leading up to Easter Sunday. Their portrayal was thought-provoking and truly enhanced our understanding. We are also incredibly grateful to Father Jeremy, a crucial part of our school community, who opened the service with his welcoming words and closed it with a meaningful blessing and prayer. His presence and guidance were invaluable in making the service so special. Overall, our whole school Easter service at All Saints Church was a truly fantastic occasion. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together as a school family, to reflect on the important message of Easter and to celebrate the end of a successful Spring Term. The contributions from every year group made it a memorable and meaningful experience for us all. We wish everyone a happy and peaceful Easter break!
