High-Octane Excitement on the 2026 TSSMAT Green Power Race Day!
What a spectacular day of racing, teamwork, and engineering brilliance! Yesterday, 143 Year 5 and 6 pupils from across the entire TSSMAT trust gathered for an unforgettable, fast-paced race day. Despite the looming clouds, the rain kindly held off, allowing the children’s roaring cheers and excitement to take center stage. It was incredible to see every single student contributing to their teams, proving that collaboration is the ultimate fuel for success.
While speed was definitely on display, the competition proved that a winning formula requires more than just a fast motor. In a fascinating twist, the team that swept first place in all four individual races didn't actually take home the overall championship trophy! Instead, the ultimate victory went to the team with the best all-around package—highlighting the massive value of a thorough project portfolio and beautifully constructed, creative bodywork. Huge congratulations to all of our award winners and participants; every single school left the track with something fantastic to celebrate!
