12.05.26 - This week, our school took a vibrant step toward healthier habits with a visit from our Phunky Food partnership worker, who led a series of high-energy, eye-opening sessions. The day began with the 'Super Crunch' workshop, a hands-on experience where parents and children teamed up to master fresh, fruit-based desserts that proved "nutritious" can also be delicious. This was followed by a school-wide 'Snack Attack' assembly, which took a deep dive into the Eatwell Guide and the essential food groups we need to thrive. The real "stop-and-stare" moment, however, came from a shocking demonstration of hidden ingredients: did you know that a single large bag of Haribo contains a staggering 25 cubes of sugar? It was a powerful, practical lesson that left both students and adults feeling much more empowered to make mindful choices for their next snack.
