What an unforgettable outdoor adventure we had on our trip to Cannock Chase! The weather was exceptionally kind to us, and the children were absolute stars from start to finish—enthusiastic, curious, and fantastically well-behaved throughout the day.
Our woodland journey took an exciting turn early on when Naughty Norris the dragon sneakily stole our lunch boxes! The brave young explorers immediately set off on a mission to track him down and successfully rescue our food. As we journeyed through the woods, we talked about the local wildlife that call the forest home and embarked on a thrilling bug hunt, carefully searching for and collecting a huge variety of minibeasts.
The magic didn't stop there. We kept our eyes peeled for woodland fairies, built cozy little fairy houses out of natural materials, and even crafted our very own mythical boggarts. After working up a hearty appetite, everyone enjoyed a well-deserved lunch and plenty of energetic play outdoors in the fresh air.
To top off a brilliant day, the children put their mixology skills to the test creating wonderfully gooey 'stinky cocktails' from leaves, pinecones, and mud, before gathering around the campfire to toast delicious, gooey marshmallows. It was a magical day full of learning, laughter, and lasting memories!
