Spring Term 2- Week 3

This week, we have been reading the book ‘The Colour Monster’ by Anna Llenas. Using the story, we have been talking about our emotions and understanding why we feel certain ways sometimes. The children have enjoyed creating their own colour monsters and emotion jars.

In maths, Reception have been recognising and ordering numbers to 20 and Nursery have been practising their counting skills. During phonics, Reception have reviewed the sounds taught during lockdown and we have recapped the high frequency words. Nursery children have continued to take part in lots of listening games and have been looking at rhyming words.

It has been lovely to see you all back in the classroom. We are so proud of how well you have settled back into the routine of the school day- you have been amazing class 1!
