Image of Autumn 1 Week 4

This week there as been lots of laughter and fun alongside our learning.

Working in small groups, we composed our own pieces of music, and performed them in front of the rest of the class. We had a variety of percussion instruments to work with, including djembe drums, coconut shells, bells and tambourines.

We were personal trainers for each other in PE and, with a lot of motivational encouragement (and some knock knock jokes!), everyone worked  hard for the whole session, despite the warmth of the afternoon.

In Geography we have created our own maps of the area around the village church, writing a key to explain the symbols used.
In English, we have planned and written our own stories, taking inspiration from the stories of Ted Hughes, author of How the Whale Became.

Although it is early, we have designed our Christmas cards this week. These designs should have made their way home to parents/carers with a letter about the process for ordering cards, gift wrap, labels and much more with our own designs on them.  The early design and ordering means products will be ready in school in plenty of time for Christmas.
