Autumn Term 2 - Week 5

This week, in Class 3, we have been assessing our learning in Maths, Grammar and Reading. Miss Hylton is so proud of how hard Class 3 have worked on their assessments to showcase their fantastic learning. In Maths, Year 3 have been learning how to multiply and divide by 4 and 8, whilst Year 4 have been learning how to multiply and divide by 7 and 9. These times tables are quite tricky so we have been learning strategies to help us memorise the times tables. In English, we have started our new topic learning how to write newspaper reports. Using real newspapers, we explored the features and talked about the difference between factual statements and opinions. In DT, we labelled the features of modern day robots such as lawn mowers, toaster and remote control toys. After labelling the machines, we spent the afternoon exploring the features of modern day toys which are battery powered. It was interesting to compare these with old fashioned toys. Well done Class 3 for working so hard this week!
