Wow what a busy week!

In English we have listened to the story 'Lost & Found'

We have written simple sentences about Antarctica animals and have enjoyed drawing them.

We have focused specifically on Penguins and have made models of them for our Antarctic display.

The children used the puppet theatre today to re-tell the story 'Lost & Found.

In math, we have continued with our 'Alive in 5' topic and have been practising the following number bonds.

0+5=5

1+4=5

2+3=5

3+2=5

4+1=5

Nursery have continued learning numbers 1-5 and have been drawing numbers in sand and making them with playdough.

In the afternoons , we have completed lots of painting and modelling, using a number of different techniques.

In RE we listened to the story 'The Parable of the Sower' The children planted  cress seeds afterwards.

In music we have listened to Debussy's 'Snow is Dancing'. We danced around the room and then made our own snowflake music on the class Glockenspiels. We sang 5 Little Speckled Frogs.

The children are making shortbread sledges today and tomorrow with Mrs Nilsen.

We hope you have a super weekend. I am impressed with how quickly the children have settled into a new routine. They are working and playing hard!
