It’s been another great week in Class 3! We have moved onto a new topic in English, learning how to write non-chronological reports. First, we identified the features of a report, learnt how to use expanded noun phrases and apostrophes for possession. We focused on using these skills when writing sentences which have a formal tone. In Maths, Year 3 have been learning how to count pounds and pence. Year 4 have been learning how to find the area of shapes and compare different rectilinear areas using more than and less than symbols. In PE, we were given words which we then needed create a small dance routine to symbolise those such as winter, Olympics and space. In History, we have started learning about the Anglo-Saxons, we discussed where the Anglo-Saxons came from, why they invaded England and the roles of men, women and children at that time. Well done Class 3, keep going!
