Spring 1 - Week 5

This week has been a little different to usual. On Tuesday we had a workshop, with the year 6s, that was run by two members of the Manchester Camerata Orchestra. Our school is taking part in a performance with other schools to tell the story of Ronald Dahl’s The Twits. Prior to the workshop the first and last songs of the performance were written, during the workshop the children learned these songs and wrote another. It was a fantastic morning and everyone joined in and enjoyed it.

On Wednesday we had a Soccer Skills taster session, this was lots of fun and we all demonstrated great teamwork and sportsmanship.

This week we have also started our new Fractions block in maths and we have begun looking at our new book in English, Animalium. This is a lovely book, as you may have been told.
