7 February 2022

This week has been about how Chinese people celebrate Chinese New Year!

We have a had a fantastic time making lanterns and dragons.

We talked about tigers and then the children had a go at colouring pictures of tigers, trying hard to keep within the lines and colouring neatly.

In math, the children took part in many activities about the number 6. The nursery children continued to practise forming and recognising numbers up to 5.

In RE, we continued to listen to stories that Jesus told. This week, we listened to 'The Good Samaritan'. The children have learnt about helping their friends and neighbours in times of need.

In music we listened to Chinese music and performed a dragon dance. We used drums and cymbals to perform the pulse.

We hope you had a good weekend!
