Welcome back to school! We have loved seeing our friends again and getting back into a routine. We were very excited that we are now able to play on the new playground equipment and have had lots of fun at playtimes trying it out. Some of us are getting much braver than we were to start off with! In lessons, we have been reading The Gruffalo and have labelled pictures of the Gruffalo, written descriptions and given our thoughts on the book in the form of a book review. In Maths, we have done lots of counting forwards and backwards and are concentrating on writing our numbers the correct way around. Year 2 have started to look at the place value of numbers too. We have had a really good first week back and loved getting to show our Mummies and Daddies around the classroom on Thursday night. We are looking forward to seeing what next week brings.
