Autumn Term 1 - Week 7

What a brilliant last week of term we’ve had in Class 3. This week, we have written newspaper reports about Howard Carter’s discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb. Our focus was to write factual sentences using a range of sentence starters and inverted commas to show direct quotes. In Maths, Year 3 have been learning different strategies to add and subtract 3 digit numbers. Year 4 have been estimating answers using rounding techniques as well as using efficient subtraction to find the answer. In DT this week, we have designed and made our own decorative lights using canvas’ and circuit components. Miss Hylton is so impressed with how resilient the children were when making their circuits. In addition, we have been celebrating wellbeing week and we have taken part in a variety of activities such as writing a positive letter for a friend, spiritual stretching and mindfulness colouring. Have a really lovely half term Class 3 and I look forward to seeing you all rested for Autumn Term 2.
