10 November 2022
We have had a full and fun couple of weeks learning about Diwali and Bonfire night.
The children have coloured Rangoli patterns and learnt about how Diwali is celebrated.
In PSED, the children have learnt about firework safety as well as about the importance of getting between 10 and 12 hours sleep per night to help them feel healthy and to learn and recall facts successfully at school.
The children have enjoyed making shapes using lollipop sticks and match sticks. They have named two dimensional shapes and made constructions using 3D shapes. We went on a tour around the school looking at tesselating patterns.
This week the children made and learnt about bats and other nocturnal animals.
I am very proud of the writing they have done today, writing facts about bats. The children are becoming more confident with their writing and are having a go!
We continue to practise the Christmas production.
Next week we will be learning about space!
Children who read 5 times a week will be entered into our 5 times reader competition from next week.
Have a fantastic weekend.
