Autumn Term 2 - Week 3

This week, we have planned and written our own adventure stories based on the book ‘Gulliver’s Travels’. In our stories, we have tried hard to use expanded noun phrases, paragraphs and a range of complex sentences. In Maths, Year 3 have been learning to use inverse operations to check if an answer is correct and also make accurate decisions whether to add or subtract based on what the questions is asking. Year 4 have been learning the 7, 11- and 12-times table and division facts. In Science, we learnt about the water cycle and discussed how this shows states changing using scientific vocabulary. In Geography, we use our prior learning to recap what continents are, we located them on a map and found out geographical facts about each continent. During our PE lessons, we have been learning netball skills such as chest passing, creating space and using the correct footwork. A great week, well done Class 3!
