Class 2, Summer Term 1, Week 1

We have had a great first week back, even the sun has been shining! We got to paint our aliens, they look brilliant with a little bit of colour on them. Over the holidays, we had some artificial grass layed in the undercover area outside our classroom. We have loved playing on it and have even been and used if for our guided reading sessions. In English, we have started to look at the Tinga Tinga tales books. We have spent a lot of time extending our sentences with conjunctions. In Maths, Year 1 have started to focus on counting in 2s, 5s, and 10s. Year 2 have started looking at fractions, focussing on recognising and making a half. In Science, we have started to look at the different seasons and what happens in each of them. A busy but productive first week back!
