Summer Term 1 - Week 5

This week, in Class 3, we have written disaster stories where a house gets destroyed by either a tornado, tsunami or earthquake. Our focus was to use a range of sentence starters, powerful vocabulary, inverted commas and paragraphs. In Maths, Year 3 have been telling the time to the nearest 5 and 1 minute whilst Year 4 have been learning to convert time between 12 hours and 24 hours. In Art, we explored the work of Andy Goldsworthy and were inspired to make our own sculptures using natural resources. We then looked at the contrast of this and researched ways of making sculptures using recyclable materials – junk modelling. After half term, we will make our sculptures using plastic, cardboard and other recyclable materials.
