Well done Class 3 for a brilliant week!
In Maths, Year 3 have been adding and subtracting 3 digit numbers using the formal column method. We have been thinking carefully about whether an exchange is needed whilst Year 4 have been using efficient subtraction and checking their answers using inverse operations. In English, we have been exploring the famous WW1 poem ‘In Flanders Fields’ by John McCrae. We used dictionaries to define tricky words and thought about the imagery behind the vocabulary. Finally, we performed the poem in groups using intonation, actions and expression. In Science, we classified leaves and discussed how they can be grouped. We then researched endangered animals and explored how their habitats are changing due to human causes and natural causes. Overall a really fantastic week and great way to end the term. Enjoy a well-deserved rest Class 3.
