Welcome back Class 3 and thank you for returning to school with a brilliant attitude towards learning. This week in English, we have started reading the book ‘Escape from Pompeii’ which links to our Geography topic ‘Mountains and Volcanoes’. We have focused on writing sentences which use expanded noun phrases and subordinate clauses. In Maths, Year 3 have been adding and subtracting two 3-digit numbers using the column method. Year 4 have been learning about area, how to find the area of a closed 2D shape and compare these areas. In PE, we have been developing our ability to show correct footwork in netball whilst catching and showing with success. In computing, we explored what animations are and created a flipbook animation to show a picture moving.
A really brilliant first week back to school, well done Class 3!
