This week we have been assessing our learning in maths, reading and grammar. Miss Hylton is so incredibly proud of the hard work that every child has put into their assessments. Well done! In English, we have been researching facts about the volcano which erupted in Iceland called Eyjafjallajökull (we have found it interesting learning the pronunciation of this volcano!). We then wrote a newspaper report using all of the features we have been learning about these past few weeks – a catchy headline, an instruction paragraph, direct and reported speech and captions. In RE, we enjoyed painting our diva lamps bright colours. In Geography, we learnt about the 4 different types of volcanoes and explained how they are formed. Well done Class 3 for a very hardworking week!
