Class 2- Spring 1- Week 2

In English this week, we have carried on looking at poetry and its structure. The poem that we focused on was The Great fire of London. We loved this poem as we didn’t just have to recite it, we were able to sing it too! We looked closely at the number of syllables in the words and practised clapping them as we sang. Once we got the hang of this, we added in musical instruments to our performance. It was lots of fun! In Geography, we have looked in more detail about the four countries of the United Kingdom. We are getting better at remembering the capital cities and what the flags are like. A busy week in Class 2!
