Class 1 spring 2 week 4

We have talked about the weather, spring babies and flowers.

The children have matched adult animals with their babies. They have made daffodils and lambs.

In maths the children have concentrated on the composition of 5 in preschool and 10  in reception.

Reception have practised saying number bonds to 10.

In RE the children recalled the Easter story. They tried hot cross buns and painted stones to turn them into buns. We discussed their symbolism. We talked about how Christians celebrate Easter and that chocolate eggs symbolise new life!

In music the children have explored pitch. They listened to the piccolo and double bass. The children enjoyed listening to Pachelbel’s canon. They explored pitch using the glockenspiels.

We have enjoyed the warmer week! Have a lovely weekend.
