This week, in Class 3, we have been busy practising for our Easter Production. Everyone is working so hard to learn their lines, the songs and improve their stage presence. On Thursday, we enjoyed our outdoor learning day at St Mary’s school. They have a lovely forest school area where we spent most of the day. We estimated and measured the capacity of containers using ml. We built skeletons using natural materials and then labelled the bones using the correct scientific vocabulary. In the afternoon, we practised our sketching skills by drawing the lovely church in Colton. In Maths this week Year 3 have moved onto the topic fractions. They have been understanding the denominators of unit fractions, comparing and ordering unit fractions and understanding the numerators of non-unit fractions. Year 4 have been converting between mixed numbers and improper fractions. We have been using our times table knowledge to help us. Well done Class 3! Only one more week to go, keep up the great work.
