Class 1 summer 1 week 2

The week began with making Gruffalo Crumble! The children enjoyed their extra dessert, including the poisonous warts and purple prickles.
 

On Tuesday and Wednesday the children created some fantastic mythical beasts. They drew and wrote about them. The reception children have been doing some fantastic sentence writing this week.

In maths, reception have been ordering and writing numbers to 20. The children have been counting beyond.

In pre-school the children have been reinforcing their understanding of the number 6.

Yesterday the children recalled what happens in a church. They watched a video about stained glass windows.

The children made their own beautiful stained glass windows. We have displayed some of these in the classroom. 
 

In music the children composed their own music to represent the Gruffalo.
