We’ve had a great last week of our Summer Term 1 in Class 3. In English, we have written setting and character descriptions. We choose a new setting which the Iron Man walked through and the descriptive vocabulary which has been used is outstanding! In Maths, Year 3 have been finding unit and non-unit fractions of a set amount of objects. This is a tricky objective so we used bar models and base ten equipment to help us. In Year 4, we have been comparing, ordering and rounding decimals to the nearest integer (whole number). In the afternoons, we have been enjoying art! Our topic has been painting and we have learnt how to mix primary colours and secondary colours. We have used a number of brush techniques, experimented with creating mood and even replicated some of the techniques used by notable artists such as Vincent Van Gogh and Georgia O’Keefe. Enjoy looking through some of our paintings below.
Have a really lovely half term break Class 3 and I look forward to seeing you in June. Remember to keep practising your times tables Year 4 in preparation for the Multiplication Check Test.
