Summer Term 1- Week 6 - Class 2

This week, in Maths Year 2 have been learning how to tell the time. They were very good at o’ clock and half past times but have found it more challenging when we have been trying to work out the time to and past the hour to the nearest five minutes. We have had lots of practical experience, using mini clocks to help us work out the time intervals. In English, we started and finished our non-chronological reports on animals from hot and cold countries. This unit has really inspired the children and they have produced some beautiful writing. Year 1 have been practising their phonics skills. Miss Derry has been very impressed with how well they have remembered all of the graphemes that we have learnt this year. 
we are very excited about our two week holiday and hope that the sun shines for us. Have a lovely break!
