On Monday, in maths we were finding equivalent fractions and in English we started our new topic on Cloud Busting by Malorie Blackman, making poems on a template. in the afternoon, we did PE looking at basketball.
On Tueday, we did maths looking further into equivalent fractions and after that English focusing on making our own short poems based on Cloud Busting. In the afternoon, we did some more RE and someone would pretend to be Moses and one side had to convince him to keep going and not let God down but the other side were convincing Moses to give up and leave the Israelites in Egypt.
On Wednesday, in maths we were looking for and understanding equivalent frations and in English we focused on our poems looking into how we can make them flow and how they are structured. In the afternoon, we started our new history topic all about king Charles 1st and 2nd and we looked into who he was and who he was against and why.
On Thursday, in maths we did more about equivalent fractions and then we started to go into mixed and inproper fractions. Then in english we looked at a Japanese style of poem called a Haiku and we did a Haiku about our partners and where we went on holiday.Then in the afternoon, we looked at history again and we made a time line about key events in King Charles' life.
On Friday , we enjoyed maths looking at mixed numbers and inproper fractions and in English we looked at limericks and we made them based on our history topic (The English Civil War). In the afternoon we did PE focusing on netball doing shooting drills and small games.
