What a whirlwind of a final week it's been in Class 3! We've been buzzing with activity across all subjects, from measuring millimetres to making music! Our maths focus has been all about length and perimeter! We've been busy measuring everything in sight using centimetres and millimetres, and even thinking about the bigger picture with kilometres and metres. Inspired by Kit Wright's magical poem, 'The Magic Box', we've unleashed our inner poets! We've been exploring different poetic features and crafting our own enchanting verses. Keep an eye out for some budding poets in the making! Our science investigations have been anything but quiet! We've conducted a series of exciting experiments to explore the fascinating world of sound. We even put our creative hats on and made our own musical instruments! We've been thinking hard about how they work, how to make sounds louder, and how to change the pitch. In RE, we've been learning about celebrations that take place in a Gurdwara. We were lucky enough to watch some beautiful videos of Sikh weddings, which gave us a wonderful insight into this special occasion! In French, we loved finishing off our topic on Henri Matisse. We have been learning about his style and the names of all the French objects and shapes he used in his art. On Friday, we created a piece of art inspired by Henri Matisse. We then described our work in French - super work!! And finally, the big news! Everyone in Class 3 has been given a part in our Easter production! Please, please learn your lines over the half term break so we can put on a fantastic show.
We hope you all have a really lovely and restful half term break. See you back refreshed and ready for more fun and learning!
