Class 1 spring 2 week 1 2025

It has been lovely hearing about what the children got up to at half term. We are having a lovely time learning about mini beasts. We have looked at the classification of mini beasts and the children chose a mini beast to draw and write about. In science the children learnt about the life cycle of a butterfly. 
In music, we sang songs about mini beasts and danced to ‘The Ugly Bug Ball’. The children moved like different mini beasts and listened to representations of creatures using percussion instruments.

The children have enjoyed doing lots of craft and have made ladybirds, bees and butterflies.

In PSED, the children listened to ‘Honesty is my superpower’. I reinforced that it is always important to be honest, even when it seems difficult!

In maths, the children looked at the composition of the numbers 6,7 and 8.

We are looking forward to continuing with this topic next week.
