This week we have been busy learning, exploring, and discovering all sorts of exciting things. From sorting animals to coding robots, from learning about important stories to becoming sound detectives. We've had a packed week. Get ready to hear about all the amazing things we've done!

Science Explorers!

This week, we've been turning into mini-scientists! We've been learning all about how animals are grouped together. To help us, we brought in our favourite stuffed animals. It was so much fun seeing all the different teddies and bunnies! We worked together as a class to sort them into categories. Then, in our small groups, we used Venn diagrams to sort them even more. We had to think really carefully about their features, like if they had fur or feathers, and if they lived in water or on land.

Magical Maths!

Our brains have been working super hard in Maths this week! We've been tackling odd and even numbers, and we're getting really good at spotting them. We've also been learning our 10 times table and our 5 times table. We even tried dividing by 10 and dividing by 5! It was tricky, but we had lots of fun exploring all the different ways to solve problems. We're feeling like real maths wizards!

Religious Explorers!

In RE, we've been learning all about Holy Week. We've discovered how important this week is for Christians and listened carefully to the stories. We talked about different ways people understand the stories and why it's important to look at the original version of events from the Bible. We've been thinking a lot about the meaning of Easter.

Busy Bee-Bots!

In ICT, we became little programmers! We used Bee-Bots to learn about algorithms. We had to give the Bee-Bots instructions to move around the mat. It was so exciting to see them follow our commands! We had to think carefully about the sequence of instructions, and we learned how to fix our mistakes when the Bee-Bots went the wrong way.

English Sound Detectives!

We've also been busy becoming sound detectives in English this week! We started by exploring the wonderful poem, "The Sound Collector". We practised actions to go with the poem, which was so much fun! Then, we went on a sound collecting adventure around the school. We listened carefully and wrote down all the amazing sounds we heard. We used these sounds to write our very own sound collector poems. We worked hard to make our poems sound interesting and exciting. Finally, we performed our poems for the class!

We've had such a fantastic week, and we're looking forward to more learning adventures next week!
