What a fantastic week of learning and growth it has been in Class 3! Our minds have been buzzing with fractions in maths, where we've tackled adding and subtracting both regular fractions and mixed numbers. In English, the drama of our story, "Flood," continues to unfold as we reveal more captivating pages. The children have been crafting incredibly powerful sentences to bring the illustrations to life, making sure to sprinkle in rich vocabulary and use their punctuation with precision. Meanwhile, our bodies have been active in PE, developing our skills in both tennis and rounders, focusing on mastering those all-important bat and ball techniques.

Thursday held a particularly special place in our week as we thoughtfully commemorated the 80th anniversary of VE Day. It was a truly reflective day as we delved into the significance of this historical event. We watched moving videos, including Winston Churchill's famous speech, which sparked insightful discussions about the emotions felt by so many at that momentous time. Uniting our voices, we sang 'I'll Remember Them,' a poignant tribute. The afternoon saw us engaging in symbolic acts of remembrance, planting 'seeds of hope' and writing heartfelt peace prayers on doves. Father Jeremy then led a special worship, providing a peaceful moment for reflection. It was a truly great day of learning, remembrance, and connection, rounding off what has been a really great week for Class 3!
