Phew! What a speedy week it's been, hasn't it? That Bank Holiday Monday certainly made the week fly by! Even with the shorter week, we've been super busy learning lots of exciting things. In English, our imaginations have been running wild! We've been deep into the vibrant world of Tinga Tinga Tales, and it's been brilliant to see all your creative ideas buzzing. Everyone has been busy choosing their special animal and thinking hard about what tricky problem it will face. Next week, we'll finally get to put pen to paper and start writing our very own Tinga Tinga Tales. We can't wait to see them come to life! Over in Maths, we've been becoming super clever with our coins and notes. We've been exploring all the different ways we can make the same amount, and it was fantastic to see how many different combinations you could find to make a whole pound! Keep those pennies and pounds rattling! Then, on Thursday, the school was a sea of red, white, and blue! It was so lovely to see everyone dressed up to celebrate VE Day. We learned all about why this day is so important and how people celebrated many years ago. We had a go at planting some seeds of hope, listened carefully to Winston Churchill's inspiring speech, and even played some games that children would have enjoyed back then. It was a really special day to learn about our history together. Even though it was a short week, it was definitely packed full of fun and learning. We've had a great week, and we hope you have a lovely weekend! We're already looking forward to more exciting adventures next week!
