In Monster Phonics the reception children have moved on to CVCC words whilst the preschool children have been introduced to the phoneme ‘s’.

Our new topic is about the seaside. The children have done some fantastic writing and have enjoyed learning about what it was like at the seaside in Victorian times. 
The children have really enjoyed playing in the ice cream parlour, making pretend ice creams.

In number the reception children have focused on numbers beyond 10 and then beyond 20.

Preschool have been exploring 2D shapes and their properties.

The children enjoyed exploring seaside sounds in music and making 3D crabs in our art lesson.

In PSED, we re-visited ‘sharing’ and how sharing can help us make friends, feel good and introduce us to new toys and games.

We look forward to continuing with this topic next week.
