This week in Class 3 has been an absolute whirlwind of creativity and learning! In English, we unleashed our imaginations, crafting incredible portal stories centered around our very own invented characters and the fantastical new worlds they stumbled into. We even took our learning outside, practicing slow-motion running to truly empathise with our characters' experiences – it was hilarious and really helped us get into character! Maths saw us diving deep into the fascinating world of shapes. We've been busy mastering angles, exploring different types of lines, identifying various quadrilaterals and triangles, and even getting hands-on by creating 3D shapes. Our afternoons have been dedicated to our captivating art topic: 'Artist Study,' where we've been completely engrossed in the art of architecture. We kicked things off by designing inspiring mood boards on the Chromebooks, then put our drawing skills to the test. We practiced drawing 3D shapes using isometric paper and even challenged ourselves to draw the other half of London's iconic Gherkin building, focusing on precise architectural details. It's been a truly great week filled with fun, discovery and a whole lot of artistic flair!
